JUST RUN was developed in California to help promote:
  • Fitness
  • Healthy Eating
  • Good citizenship, and
  • Pride in accomplishment
JUST RUN was brought to Lake County, Ohio by Coleen Moskowitz, who was looking to start a fitness program for children.  She came across JUST RUN, which was recognized as one of the best youth fitness programs.   Coleen brought the program to Perry with the goal of helping to combat obesity and to help get children moving and having fun!

In the JUST RUN program, students experience the benefits of physical activity and stretching, progressing at their own speed in a safe, non-competitive environment.  Most importantly, they learn lifelong positive habits while having fun!

My kids have participated in it about 4 times and they love it!  Some more benefits of participating include :
  • Free t-shirts
  • Spending time with friends
  • Playing games
  • Motivation with weekly tracking sheets that can be turned in for shoe tags showing how many miles they have accumulated
  • Entries into drawings for really great prizes for certain accomplishments, and
  •  At the end of the eight weeks, they receive free entry into the 5k, if they choose to participate.
