The fest will feature an exciting mix of innovative art and music experiences for all ages including the second year of the wildly successful Arts Alive program, which will include more than twenty Cleveland-based non-profit arts organizations doing demonstrations and giving festival attendees hands-on art experience.

“The Arts Alive program encourages attendees to roll up their sleeves, get their hands dirty and give art a try” says Waterloo Arts’ Executive Director, Amy Callahan. “We developed the Arts Alive program to give arts organizations an opportunity to connect with new audiences and share the great work that they do in an engaging, memorable way. As a community arts organization we believe, participating in the process of art, regardless of your expertise, is an enriching experience. The enthusiasm festival attendees bring to this program confirms this belief!”

This community event is produced by Waterloo Arts, a nonprofit art center whose mission is to enrich the neighborhood culturally and economically by creating a stimulating arts environment through exhibits, performances, special events, and educational programming for people of all ages. In addition to orchestrating this festival, Waterloo Arts manages an art gallery, public art projects, a community arts center, and artist studios.

Parking and Transportation to the Waterloo Arts Fest:

Parking is free at the Waterloo Arts Fest. As with most street festivals, plenty of street parking is available in the neighborhood surrounding the festival site on Waterloo Rd. Keep in mind that Waterloo Rd will be inaccessible from E 162 St to Shiloh – so expect to detour around the site.

  2. Jim, I’m not sure what kind of hotel you are looking for. There are some really nice hotels downtown including The Renaissance (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/hotel-photos/clebr-renaissance-cleveland-hotel/) or the Ritz-Carlton (http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties/Cleveland/Default.htm?utm_campaign=TBPSUSEGPN126&src=ps&pId=rztbppc) or Wyndham Downtown (http://www.wyndham.com/hotels/ohio/cleveland/wyndham-cleveland-at-playhousesquare/hotel-overview?hotel_id=CLEPS&cid=whg_wyn_ggl_br&wid=ps:br_whg&002=2195185&004=9136730542&005=1719223241&006=48650592862&007=Search&008=&025=c&026=).

There are also more affordable options closer to Collinwood. I am not sure which is closest to the Fest but if you still need assistance I can try to find out for you.
