Come join us for a FREE, FUN, Hands-on Scientific Field Trip for a Watershed Watch on the Grand River at Indian Point.

Watershed Watch is a stream monitoring program where Lake County SWCD (Soil and Water Conservation District) employees will assist us in collecting macro-invertebrate samples.  The macro-invertebrates are aquatic animals (mostly insects) that can be useful in indicating the general health of a river and it’s upstream tributaries.  We will also take chemical measurements of river conditions.

Local schools, organizations and Lake County SWCD have been providing this hands-on science experience for over 20 years, and our results will be recorded as part of the official data for Ohio’s Scenic Rivers program.

Appropriate for all grade levels.

Indian Point Park in Leroy Township Ohio.

When: Friday June, 5, 2015 from 10 am to 11:30 am

Please contact Jacquie at to RSVP and for more information.
